Problem #1 - The Tax Lien

The first story to break on Glenn Coffee was that the federal government had filed a tax lien on his property for failure to pay over $28,000 in taxes over two years.

Senator Coffee paid off this lien 19 months after his 2006 federal taxes were due to the IRS. He claims that he took out a loan to pay for the lien.

Problem #2 - The Loan

Senator Coffee initially refused to disclose what bank he obtained his loan from. He refused to answer questions about the name of the bank, the interest rate, or what he used for collateral.

Problem #3 - Unpaid Tickets

A story broke that Senator Coffee had not one, but two, unpaid traffic tickets from 2000. He claims he just forgot about them, and that he never received a notice about them. However, all tickets are issued with a paper copy to the violator as a reminder to pay their fine.
